Garrett Gillespie Named Outstanding Healthcare Litigator by Nightingale's Healthcare News

Boston, MA – Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. recently announced that Garrett Gillespie has been named a 2007 Outstanding Healthcare Lawyer by Nightingale's Healthcare News, a monthly healthcare industry publication.
Mr. Gillespie, a senior Associate in the firm's Boston office practicing in the Health Law and Litigation Sections, was acknowledged for his outstanding achievements in 2007 including: the representation of a hospital against motions regarding medical decision-making rights, patient visitation issues and access to medical records; his work on a significant Medicare reimbursement appeal for a client before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board; and representation of a large biotech company in a collaboration agreement dispute.

Mr. Gillespie was selected by Law & Politics/Super Lawyers as a Massachusetts Rising Star in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association (Health Law Section), the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Yale University and his J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of, and the Notes Editor for, the Virginia Environmental Law Journal.
