Mintz Levin Expands London Corporate Practice

London, England - Christopher Shaw and Raoul Duggal are the most recent additions to the Corporate practice of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, LLP. Mr. Shaw, who most recently was with McGrigors, joins Mr. Duggal who relocated from the firm's New York office. Both join the firm's growing London corporate practice.
Mintz Levin's IP and Corporate practices in London recently represented Novosom AG in acquiring an exclusive, worldwide license from Isis Pharmaceuticals, in addition to serving as special legal counsel to SkyePharma PLC in connection with its recent Placing and Open Offer of 1,401,780,736 New Ordinary Shares to raise £18.4 million (net of expenses), and a Share Capital Reorganisation.
In other news, the London office doubled its capacity when it took occupancy 22 September of its new expanded office space at Alder Castle in Noble Street EC2. The 7,700 square foot space will accommodate 18 attorneys and 13 administrative staff.
Mr. Shaw received his Masters of Laws (LL.M) with a concentration in Law and Technology, Faculty of Law, from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Faculty of Law, from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is qualified as a solicitor in Scotland and is admitted to practice in New York.
Mr. Duggal received his First State Examination, highly satisfactory, and his Doctor Juris (Dr. iur.), summa cum laude, from the University of Cologne, Germany. He also holds an LL.M. degree in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Germany and New York.
