Obtaining U.S. Citizenship

Mintz Levin has substantial experience in the procedures for obtaining United States citizenship for eligible permanent residents. In most cases a person must have been a permanent resident of the U.S. for at least five years (or three if married to a United States citizen) before becoming eligible for citizenship. In addition to filing the relevant paperwork, the firm assists its clients in preparing for the required interview with an immigration officer. We also assist clients considering dual citizenship or renunciation of U.S. citizenship.
